How We Help
The Foundation actively raises funds for our local hospital. Funds have been raised to provide a full service Dialysis Unit and modernize the X-ray, Ultrasound and Emergency departments, as well as expand and refurbish the Beryl Beach Special Care Unit. In addition, essential medical equipment has been purchased, including a CT Scan, portable ultrasound machine, urology cystoscopes and a videoendoscopy system.
The Foundation also provides funds for capital construction, equipment purchases and special projects in education and patient programs.

Volunteer Opportunities
The Smiths Falls Community Hospital Foundation is seeking volunteers for our Board of Directors, to complement its current roster of volunteers. All Board members are encouraged to use their network of community contacts, in order to help identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward donors. All Board members are encouraged to contribute annually, and to support the Foundation at various events.
The Board of Directors meet on a monthly basis, except for the months of July and August.
The Smiths Falls Community Hospital Foundations mission is to raise funds essential to the success of the Perth and Smiths Falls District Hospital. Since its inception, the Foundation has raised more then $6 million in support of the hospital.
